This first “un-event” (which is running until the end of 2010) will make a difference by providing educational activity books to at risk children concerning Diabetes Type 2, Bullying and Self Esteem. CARR (Children At Risk Resources)
CARR
was established in 2002 as a 501 (c) 3 (non profit) corporation. Our
mission statement is to provide guidelines to empower children in
making smart choices for a healthier lifestyle. Our motto is: “We don’t
think inside of the box; we don’t think outside of the box; we reshape
the box!”
Extensive
field-testing and research is done and a lot of the children’s comments
and suggestions are incorporated into our creations and mentoring
programs. Pre/Post testing for our Diabetes Type 2 activity book alone
shows a 16% increase in knowledge.
CARR has just introduced and will be expanding on their narrative DVD series with supporting worksheets and board games.
